A new phase of struggle is opening in Iran. It is to the women, to the workers and the youth - to all the demonstrators who defy the Islamic Republic while not hesitating to risk their lives - that all our support is given. Spontaneous strikes have erupted in several companies, in Teheran in particular and strike calls are multiplying. The decisive question of the general strike is put, not by Moussavi, who is trying to ride the wave of the dispute, but by the Iranian workers themselves. The arrival of the working class in this movement can give cohesion and the force necessary to overthrow the Islamic Republic and to establish a new democratic and social republic that stands against imperialist and Zionist attacks. The fight for true democratic rights, the right to strike, the right to hold free elections, to constitute free trade unions and political parties as well as the fight for social justice and the equality between women and men must be based on international solidarity. Their fight is ours!

الشاعر اسلام سمحان والشلل السياسي للاسلاميين

تم بيمن "الله" القبض على "الفساد والظلم " في الاردن واودع الشاعر اسلام سمحان السجن. حكم عليه بعام من السجن وغرامة 10 الف دينار. وهلهلت جبهة العمل الاسلامي ومشايعيها لهذا "الفتح" العظيم.  فأي بلاء هذا وايّ جهل، وقمع للنفس والعقل.  ولا يخجل قضاء الاردن ومشرعيه من هذه المهانة ومن وضع سعر وعقاب على الكلمة المبدعة والرأي الحرّ.  هكذا يتسلل قمع الدولة يدا بيد مع قمع الفكر السلفي لثبط شاعر وصحفي ناشئ ويرهب آخرين. 

 يعتقد الاخوان ان الديمقراطية هي بقبولهم صناديق الاقتراع، الصناديق هي لحظة في مسيرة الديمقراطية الفعلية وهم يثقبون مركبها عندما يمدون السلطة بكل مبررات القمع والتحكم والسيطرة،  بحجة اوباخرى، فالمحصلة واحدة وهم القابضون على اللجام ضد الابداع والكلمة الحرّة.

فبعد اطلاعي المتأخرعلى الخبر ذهبت وحصلت على نسخة من الديوان وقرأته. وسأضئ  مدونتي بقصيدة له وبعد اذنه:

A review for Prof. Massad book: Desiring Arabs

للاسف ما صحلّي اقرأ كتاب البروفيسور جوزيف مسعد لكن وقع بين يدي هذه المراجعة له والتي اتمنى ان تلقي مزيدتا من الضوء على الكتاب وعلى واقع المثليين جنسيا في بلادنا والتضامن معهم:

No one can know for sure if, when, how or in what forms Arab LGBT communities and movements will develop.(19) In particular, no one knows for sure what proportion of Arabs who have sex with people of the same sex identity as lesbian, gay, transgender or bisexual. But this is no argument against solidarity with them. Nor is it an argument for privileging those who have LGBT identities, as international movements tend to do - or those who have no such identities, as Massad does.

In the age of neoliberal globalization, power relations between colonizers - witting or unwitting - and colonized cut across LGBT movements, anti-imperialist movements and for that matter the Marxist left. The fact remains that all the victims of oppression today badly need allies in the imperialist countries, who have access to far greater resources.

Cultural sensitivity and respect for self-determination are essential. But neither should stand in the way of solidarity with the victims of repression by regimes whose vicious sexual puritanism often goes hand in hand with their subservience to an imperial agenda.

A review for "Kill Khalid" book

مراجعة لكتاب "اقتل خالد" للكاتب الصحفي بول ماكجف حول محاولة الاغتيال الاسرائيلية الفاشلة لرئيس المكتب السياسي لحماس، خالد مشعل في عمان عام 1997:

which, if true, would require a response".

بدل شو هالنياشين؟ مش على الاقل حتى تعرفوا الخازوق اللي رح يبلعنا اياه اوباما وادارته باسمكم وبالتعاون معكم؟

واما بالنسبة لآوباما فامكانه ان يعود لامريكا فالديمقراطية في العالم العربي بخير وتقدم نياشينها للديمقراطية الامريكية على انجازاتها الباهرة في المنطقة العربية!
